A Catholic priest has committed suicide following accusation he defiled a little girl.
Reverend Father Richard Bilé, serving at the parish of Saint Francis of Assisi Affiénou (Maferé), Cote d’Ivoire, hanged himself after the Presbyteral Council decided on Tuesday, April 23 to suspend him for a few months.
He, however, committed suicide, yesterday, and left a note behind. It was gathered that this is not the first time the Reverend Father would be accused of paedophilia.
In the note he left behind which was written in French, the priest wrote to ask for forgiveness from everyone he offended. He expressed his struggle over the years in trying to serve God through his brothers and sister.
“Next to God; I will have peace. I ask everyone I’ve offended for forgiveness. The world of men is too severe and made of incomprehensible things. I have tried to serve God through my brothers and sisters.
I have loved MY DIVINE MASTER. He knows it and that is why he will forgive me and give me a warm welcome.
My dear fellow priests; pray for me and forgive me, please. Monseigneur Paul DACOURY – TARLEY (Pepe) Forgive me, monseigneur Raymond AHOUA, Pray for me and forgive me.”
